How
do I get my redemption code?
Question: How
do I install and register for WINForms®?
Answer:
WINForms® may be installed from a Program CD or by
downloading from the Internet site www.winforms.com.
The installation process will require you to register with RE FormsNet,
LLC™. See the Registration section for
more information. WINForms® will not operate without
Registration.
Please
follow the steps below to download and install your WINForms®.
Section
1. This section is for C.A.R. Members Only
-
Visit
www.transactiontools.com
-
Click the WINForms® Desktop icon.
- Click the “No, I have never registered for
WINForms® Desktop software” link
- Enter your Member ID: (your CAR Member ID #);
Password: ### (last 4 digits of your SSN)
- Accept the License Agreement after reading.
- Verify your information before clicking on SEND
button
- Print out your redemption code
- Click on the "Download Now!" button to download
and install your software.
- Save the
Software Download to Hard Disk

Run
the Installation Program by going to your Desktop or the folder
you saved the file, and double-click on the newly downloaded
installation program icon.
Section
2. This section is for non-C.A.R. Members Only
To
install from a Program CD:
-
Place
the WINForms® Program CD in the CD-ROM Drive of the
computer. WINForms® will automatically start the
installation process. If the WINForms® Setup dialog
box appears, go to Step 4. If the dialog box does not appear
after approximately 30 seconds, go to Step 2.

Select
the Windows Start button, and then select Run.

The
Run dialog box will open. Type in the following path: D:\SETUP
and click on the OK button. This will start the setup program.

The
WINForms® Setup dialog box will appear allowing you
to accept or change the Destination Folder. The default Destination
Folder is C:/Program Files/WINForms 2000. WINForms®
recommends accepting the default Destination Folder and the
Program Management Group, which appears when you click the Next
button. Click on the Next button again to proceed.

After
the files have been transferred, the Registration dialog box
will appear. WINForms® will not operate without proper
registration. You may register by Internet, or by calling RE
FormsNet, LLC™ Registration Hotline at 877-588-4746.
Question: I
just installed the program and I don't know the password.
Answer:
The default user name in WINForms®
Desktop is 'Master'.
The
default password in WINForms®
Desktop is 'password'.
Note:
We recommend that you personalize the user name and password combination.
Check your users manual for more information.
Question: How do I get my redemption code?
Answer:
There are 2 methods to obtain your redemption code:
Method
1:
-
Log
into WINForms software.
-
While
there, just click on the Help menu and select the About. The
redemption code will be printed on this dialog box.
Method
2:
-
Point
your browser to CAR Online (www.car.org)
-
Click
on the Transaction Tools or the WINForms icon.

Under
the “NEW USERS” link, click on the “Download and activate
WINForms® software”
-
Enter
your Member ID: (your CAR Member ID #); Password: ### (last
4 digits of your SSN)

Click
on the "I Accept" at the License Agreement.
-
Click
on the SEND button at the WINForms User Registration Information
screen.

The
redemption code is displayed at this screen. Print it out
for your record.
